Sleep Apnea and Snoring
As Director of Sleep Disorder & Robotic Surgery at Columbia, Dr. Ahn is a leader in the treatment of sleep apnea and snoring. Dr. Ahn is one of the first surgeons to perform robotic surgery for obstructive sleep apnea patients. Sleep study testing and CPAP (non-surgical) treatment, as well as various surgical treatments, are available to patients at Dr. Ahn's clinic. For patients who have problems tolerating CPAP treatment, Dr. Ahn offers a full range of the following surgical options: robotic surgery, somnoplasty, injection snoreplasty, pillar palate implants, and laser or radiofrequency palate surgery.
In-office procedures performed under local anesthesia:

In-hospital procedures performed under general anesthesia:
- maxillo-mandibular advancement surgery
- tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy
Dr. Ahn is one of the only surgeons performing da Vinci® transoral robotic surgeries in New York. These in-hospital procedures include:
- robotic uvulopalatoplasty
- robotic tongue-based surgery
The da Vinci® Surgical System is the newest technology available and is potentially the most effective minimally invasive surgical treatment for diseases of the head and neck.
